On April 21, 2025, an interactive mentoring seminar-training “Women in Journalism. The Art of Writing Scientific Theses” was held at the Petro Mohyla Black Sea National University. The event was held within the framework of the international Erasmus+ project 101082696 – PROMENT, which is aimed at supporting the professional development of students and creating an effective system of mentoring and tutoring in higher education institutions.

The target audience of the seminar was fourth-year students of the Journalism major who are preparing to participate in the XXI International Scientific Conference “Olviy Forum – 2025”.
The main goal of the training was to provide mentoring support in preparing high-quality scientific theses, forming academic self-presentation, and discussing the role of women in the media sphere. The event program included mini-lectures, practical tips on writing abstracts, discussions of the specifics of “women’s journalism”, etc. Participants received workbooks for the training, a self-checking checklist for abstracts, and abstract design templates.
Also, based on the requests of the participants, it is planned to hold a Q&A session and provide mentoring support during the speed-mentoring session.
The interactive format, the combination of educational and mentoring components, and the focus on gender issues contributed to creating an inspiring atmosphere of cooperation. The event proved its relevance and became an example of effective interaction between female students and experienced scientists.
The organizers sincerely thank all participants for their activity, as well as the PROMENT project team for their support in implementing innovative educational practices in the university environment.
