A gaming workshop “On Emotions” was held at Petro Mohyla National University of Kyiv as part of the PROMENT project under the program “Tutoring of First-Year Students”

On April 18, 2025, a game workshop “On Emotions” was held at the Petro Mohyla Black Sea National University within the framework of the EU Erasmus+ project 101082696-PROMENT under the program “Tutoring of First-Year Students”. The event for tutors of group 146 of the Faculty of Philology was organized and conducted by tutors of group 346 Maria Tomashevska and Ulyana Kolycheva.

The main goal of the event is to help students-tutors better understand their emotions through interactive play, develop empathy, and promote the development of emotional intelligence in their future activities.

During the meeting, the participants were introduced to the basic concepts of the emotional sphere, the typology of emotions and their functions, and also learned how to control their emotions in different situations.

Student tutors, through the interesting interactive format of the game workshop “On Emotions”, created an open, positive space for interaction for the tutee. During the meeting, first-year students actively participated in various practical cases: “Emotional Crocodile”, “Faces of Emotions”, “If Emotions Were Colors”, “How to React”.

At the end of the event, the student community’s reflection on its topic was important, which was evidence of the relevance and development of the emotional competence of the group.

Thus, this meeting of tutors with students became important in terms of practical facilitation, increasing the level of emotional intelligence, understanding the emotional-assertive sphere of students, as well as their requests and needs.
