On May 27, 2025, within the framework of the implementation of the EU Erasmus+PROMENT project “Promoting vocational education and active participation of students through the establishment of a comprehensive system of mentoring and tutoring in HEIs “Mentoring for IDP students and persons with disabilities”, a group professional information event on the topic “Presentation of employment service services” was held.
The event was held in a mixed format: offline and online on the ZOOM platform.
The event was organized and implemented by Iryna Lubkovska, a mentor of the Mentoring for IDP Students and Persons with Disabilities scheme, Deputy Head of the Ingul Department and Head of the Employment Department of the Mykolaiv Branch of the Mykolaiv Regional Employment Center. She shared with the participants her knowledge of labor market conditions and examples of how to search for a job to get the desired position.
The event brought together IDP students and people with disabilities interested in active employment service programs.
The first part of the event featured a presentation of the electronic services of the State Employment Service, in particular the website dcz.gov.ua (a single portal for vacancies, a single window for services, training, a platform for career guidance and development); the mobile application “State Employment Service”.
After that, the participants learned about active programs: compensation from the state for the employment of youth, IDPs, people with disabilities, a training voucher, a microgrant, and community service.
In the second part of the event, participants learned about job search techniques, including the basics of writing a resume, techniques for communicating with an employer, and mastering methods and forms of effective self-presentation based on the employer’s requirements.
During the event, an atmosphere of openness, respect, and support prevailed, giving everyone the opportunity to express their opinions and ask questions.
According to the organizer of the event, the results of the event are to increase the level of awareness of participants about employment services and to improve job search skills.
