On December 5, 2024, another mentoring meeting “Self-presentation of the personality of a teacher – philologist” was held at the Black Sea National University named after Peter Mohyla.
This event was held within the framework of the EU Erasmus+ project No. 101082696 PROMENT “Promotion of professional education and active participation of students through the establishment of a comprehensive system of mentoring and tutoring in higher education institutions.”
The speaker was Natalya Chernikova, a teacher of the highest category, senior teacher of the Mykolaiv Lyceum No. 2.
The meeting was moderated by Halyna Kosareva, Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Ukrainian Philology and Intercultural Communication of Petro Mohyla National University of Ukraine.
The purpose of the event was to acquaint mentee students with the features of self-presentation of an individual as a form of transmitting the necessary information to influence the emotional, motivational, and cognitive spheres of listeners (elements of storytelling).
The skills acquired during the training are a confirmation of the mastery of modern knowledge in the field of practical application of storytelling elements. During the meeting, the participants used the “5 rules of self-promotion” formula in practice. During the training, information was provided about storytelling in various spheres of life. The specifics of using the teacher’s self-presentation during competitive works are discussed. Students got acquainted with examples of self-presentation of an individual, in particular in the field of education.
Such meetings of progressive mentors with mentees are important in terms of their further professional activities.
We are waiting for new practical seminars, trainings, interactive lectures within the framework of the implementation of the PROMENT project.
