The meeting-introduction of mentors and mentees under the “Mentorship of Young Teachers” program at the Petro Mohyla Black Sea National University, May 23, 2024, Mykolaiv (Ukraine)

On June 6, 2024, at the Petro Mohyla Black Sea National University, within the framework of the EU Erasmus+ project 101082696-PROMENT “Promoting Vocational Education and Active Student Participation through the Creation of an Integrated Mentorship and Tutoring System in Higher Education Institutions,” the first meeting-introduction of mentors and mentees under the “Mentorship of Young Lecturers” program took place. The moderators of the meeting were the mentors: Natalia Kovalychuk, a lecturer at Mykolaiv College of Culture and Arts, Antonina Kovienieva, a teacher of Ukrainian language and literature and integrated literature course at Mykolaiv Oleg Olzhych Lyceum, and a media trainer; and Natalia Chernivoka, a teacher of Ukrainian language and literature at Mykolaiv Lyceum No. 2. The educators shared their experiences in the field of mentoring. During the meeting, all first- to third-year students of the specialties 014 “Secondary Education” and 035 “Philology” were inspired by success stories and received advice on professional development for their future practical activities. Despite the challenging times, the meeting was held with great emotion. The mentors took into account the current needs of the student-mentees.
