About the first meeting of the Student Scientific Society of the Faculty of Philology, organized by student tutors within the framework of the Proment project
On September 10, 2025, the first meeting of the Student Scientific Society of this academic year took place at the Faculty of Philology, initiated and organized by student tutors. The event brought together participants from different courses and specialties, becoming a platform for exchanging experiences and ideas. It is important that the event was held within the framework of the “Week of Freshmen”, who are adapting to new learning conditions and striving to develop in the scientific environment of our university.
This meeting was also organized within the framework of the Erasmus+ Proment project “Promoting professional education and active participation of students through the development of a comprehensive system of mentoring and tutoring in higher education institutions.”
The organizers of the event were Halyna Kosareva – Head of the SNT from the teachers and coordinator of the Proment project for tutoring and mentoring programs for young teachers; Candidate of Philology, Associate Professor of the Department of Ukrainian Philology and Intercultural Communication; and Diana Kozub – Head of the Scientific Student Society from the students, a student of group 341, studying in the specialty “Germanic Languages and Literatures (including translation), the first – English.”
During the meeting, the activities of the society over the past year were summarized, and the key areas of work for this semester were outlined. Among the important topics: new opportunities from the international project Erasmus + Proment , which includes trainings, events and workshops. A special role during the event was played by student tutors, who presented various areas of activity of the Student Scientific Society of the Faculty of Philology. They shared their own experience of scientific activity through participation in conferences, in writing theses and articles, and also talked about the opportunities for participation in scientific competitions, grants, international academic mobility programs, and inspired student tutors to join the active scientific life of the university.
The meeting participants had the opportunity to discuss ideas and participate in planning further activities.
The atmosphere of the meeting was friendly and inspiring. The conference was also joined by students and active members of the society: Kryva Sofia, Lyudmila Mozgova, and Antonyan Siranush. They spoke about their experience in scientific activities and the opportunities they received through participation in international projects.
This format of meetings not only promotes the professional growth of students, but also helps form a community where everyone can find their own path to scientific and personal development.
