On October 24, the Tutoring and Mentoring Center hosted a professional guest lecture delivered by Andrii Neborak, Senior Embedded Software Developer at GlobalLogic, in cooperation with the Department of Computer-Aided Design Systems. The event brought together students of technical specializations, academic staff, and early-career professionals interested in gaining deeper insight into Embedded technologies and exploring career opportunities within one of the leading companies in the digital engineering sector.<\/p>\r\n

During his presentation, Andrii Neborak provided a comprehensive overview of the Embedded project lifecycle, outlining its key stages\u2014from requirements analysis and technical specification development to testing, debugging, and final product deployment. The speaker emphasized that embedded systems represent a synergy of hardware and software components and constitute the technological foundation of numerous modern solutions, ranging from consumer electronics to automotive systems, medical devices, and security infrastructure. According to the speaker, an Embedded engineer must not only possess strong programming skills but also demonstrate a solid understanding of the hardware environment in which the software operates.<\/p>\r\n

Special attention was given to the competencies required for entry into the Embedded domain. The speaker highlighted the importance of proficiency in C and C++, foundational knowledge of electronics, microcontrollers, and real-time systems, as well as an understanding of software architecture principles. Equally significant are analytical thinking, attention to detail, and effective teamwork skills. Mr. Neborak stressed that continuous professional development is essential in this rapidly evolving field, as technological advancements require engineers to constantly update their expertise in order to remain competitive in the labor market.<\/p>\r\n

As part of the event, the GlobalLogic representative also introduced the company\u2019s internship program for students. The program offers young professionals the opportunity to gain practical experience through participation in real-world projects under the supervision of experienced mentors. Participants may acquire hands-on skills in modern technologies and, upon successful completion, receive an employment offer. Students were informed about the selection stages, training format, candidate requirements, and practical recommendations on preparing a competitive CV for an international technology company.<\/p>\r\n

A substantial portion of the meeting was devoted to discussing professional development pathways in the IT sector. Andrii Neborak shared his personal career trajectory, reflecting on the challenges he encountered at the beginning of his professional journey. He emphasized that perseverance, motivation, and a commitment to lifelong learning are key factors in achieving long-term success in engineering careers.<\/p>\r\n

The event concluded with an interactive discussion session, during which students asked questions regarding project work at GlobalLogic, current trends in Embedded technologies, and opportunities for young professionals within the Ukrainian IT sector. The lecture was followed by informal networking, enabling participants to receive individual guidance, discuss their own ideas, and learn more about the company\u2019s corporate culture.<\/p>\r\n
