On November 21, 2025, as part of the implementation of the PROMENT project “Promoting professional education and active participation of students through the formation of a comprehensive system of mentoring and tutoring in higher education institutions”, a workshop was held for students of the 146th group of the Faculty of Philology of Petro Mohyla Chernivtsi National University entitled “Motivation and motivators in the life of a first-year student.”<\/span><\/p>

The initiator and moderator of the event was Halyna Kosaryeva, Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Ukrainian Philology and Intercultural Communication, and implementer of the PROMENT project.<\/span>
The workshop was held in a mixed format. Students learned about the essence of motivation and motivators, discussed the sources of self-motivation and the importance of internal incentive for achieving success. Special attention was paid to the topic of procrastination and practical methods of combating it.<\/span><\/p>

The tutors emphasized the need to take responsibility for one’s own actions and manage one’s life without shifting the blame to external factors: the weather, the day of the week, or the time of day. The importance of setting realistic goals and being able to build a path to achieving them step by step was emphasized. Even such an ambitious goal as “becoming a millionaire” can become real if one is able to find solutions and methods to achieve it.<\/span><\/p>

The practical part included the following exercises: \u201c4 squares\u201d and \u201c7 minutes\u201d, during which students independently determined the route to their goals, assessed their own resources and skills, and shared emotions and discoveries regarding the completion of the tasks. In addition, the participants chose figures, using which the tutors explained the meaning of their choice and its psychological aspect.<\/span><\/p>

The meeting ended with reflection: students shared their impressions of the event, discussed the knowledge and practical skills they gained. The workshop became a useful tool for developing self-motivation, planning their own actions, and confident movement towards their goals for first-year students.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
