On September 26, 2025, within the framework of the implementation of the EU Erasmus+ project 101082696 \u2013 PROMENT \u201cPromoting professional education and active participation of students through the formation of a comprehensive system of mentoring and tutoring in higher education institutions with the \u201cMentoring of young teachers\u201d scheme, a training session \u201cMentoring\/tutoring approach in compensating for educational losses\u201d was held for student-mentees of the Faculty of Philology of Petro Mohyla National University of Chernivtsi.<\/span><\/p>

\u00a0The organizer and moderator of the event was Halyna Kosareva, Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor, and implementer of the PROMENT project.<\/span><\/p>

The trainer was Natalia Kovalchuk, Candidate of Philological Sciences, Honored Worker of Education of Ukraine, teacher of Ukrainian language and literature, foreign literature, head of the regional methodological association of teachers of philological disciplines of ZFPO (professional pre-higher education institutions) of Mykolaiv region, who, together with the counter-entrepreneur Diana Kozub, a student-mentee of group 341 of the Faculty of Philology, interacted with the participants of the meeting in an interactive form through practical cases.<\/span><\/p>

The event aimed to familiarize participants with the specifics of the concept of “educational loss”, to reveal the various roles of a teacher-mentor-tutor in overcoming educational loss in secondary education, as well as to create a positive attitude towards learning, and to develop emotional intelligence.<\/span><\/p>

\u00a0Natalia Kovalchuk introduced the participants to the concepts of “teacher-tutor-mentor.” And together with the students, they highlighted the main roles of a mentor, tutor, and teacher in making up for educational losses.<\/span><\/p>

Diana Kozub told the student mentees about her experience of participating in the intellectual volunteering program of the NGO “Educate for Ukraine” “Studentmentor”, during which she became an English tutor to compensate for educational losses for students from frontline areas. Diana noted that self-confidence, motivation, and effective communication skills developed more productively thanks to participation in the program “Mentoring of Young Teachers” and support from mentors within the PROMENT project.<\/span><\/p>

The meeting was accompanied by practical tasks, so those present had the opportunity to model future activities regarding the outlined problem.<\/span><\/p>

The event demonstrated that the mentoring and tutoring system implemented by Petro Mohyla National University of Chernivtsi within the framework of the Erasmus+ PROMENT project effectively supports young students and promotes professional development and further career growth.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
