On May 7, 2025, a zoom workshop “Online Platforms for Education: Ideas – Experience – Practice” was held, which was conducted by mentor Antonina Koveneva, a teacher-methodologist of Ukrainian language and literature, an integrated literature course at the Mykolaiv Lyceum named after Oleg Olzhych, a lecturer in the educational project of the NGO “ZNOvU” within the framework of the EU project Erasmus+101082696-PROMENT “Promoting professional education and active participation of students through the formation of a comprehensive system of mentoring and tutoring in higher education institutions.”<\/span><\/p>

At the beginning of the meeting, Halyna Kosareva, coordinator of the “Mentoring of Young Teachers” program, associate professor of the Department of Ukrainian Philology and Intercultural Communication, made an introductory speech, emphasizing the relevance of such an event in the formation of students’ digital competence and the application of information and communication technologies (ICT) in their further professional activities.<\/span><\/p>

During the workshop, students examined the specifics of online platforms for education in synchronous and asynchronous formats and tried to apply some tools. They improved their skills in working with AI applications and refuted fakes about artificial intelligence.<\/p>

In addition, during the workshop, student mentees not only received valuable recommendations, but also actively participated in the discussion, created practical cases, shared their own ideas and generated new ones, and played the trendy game “Norm or Stream.”<\/p>

It should be noted that during the event, the mentor created a cozy atmosphere and productive cooperation: students openly provided feedback, felt involved in the collaboration. Such a partnership process of exchanging ideas and knowledge contributed to achieving goals and increasing the motivation of the mentee.<\/span><\/p>

Therefore, this event provided an opportunity to improve the mentee’s pedagogical skills in applying modern distance and blended learning methods using digital tools and AI.<\/span><\/p>

We sincerely thank our mentor Antonina Kovenyeva for her high professionalism and creation of a relaxed atmosphere of collaboration for effective teamwork, and to the students for their motivation, cooperation, and involvement.<\/span><\/p>
