On April 22, 2025, within the framework of the implementation of the EU Erasmus+ project 101082696 \u2013 PROMENT \u201cPromoting professional education and active participation of students through the formation of a comprehensive system of mentoring and tutoring in higher education institutions\u201d under the scheme \u201cMentoring in state authorities and local self-government bodies\u201d on the basis of the department in Odessa, Mykolaiv and Kherson regions of the South-Eastern Interregional Department of the National Agency for Public Administration and Public Administration, a professional (pre-graduate) internship for students of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Public Management and Administration began, which will last for three weeks.<\/span><\/p>

Students of the Law and Public Management and Administration majors will participate in the internship. The organizers were the project executor, Doctor of Science in Public Administration, Professor Viktoriya Andriyash, as well as the PROMENT project mentor, Olga Kalchenko, Deputy Head of the Department and Head of the Department in the Odessa, Mykolaiv, and Kherson regions of the South-Eastern Interregional Department of the National Administration of Public Administration.<\/span><\/p>

At the beginning of the internship, the students met with the project mentor and deputy head of the department, head of the department in the Odessa, Mykolaiv and Kherson regions of the South-Eastern Interregional Department of the National Agency for the State Supervision of the State Service of Ukraine.<\/p>

In addition, Olga Kalchenko noted that pre-graduate practice, as an important component of the practical training of future specialists, provides students with the opportunity to try themselves in their future profession, to master professional competencies in real working conditions. For management, as a base for practice, this practice is an opportunity to “look closely” at interns, to organize targeted training for a specific workplace, specific tasks with the aim of further employment of the graduate student. Under such conditions, mentoring is one of the best ways to complete the tasks set.<\/p>
