On April 23, 2025, a meeting was held at the Petro Mohyla Black Sea National University in the format of a problem lecture “Modern Trends in Waste Management: Sweden’s Experience for Ukraine” under the scheme “Mentoring in the Field of Green Technologies” for project participants and graduate students-ecologists of Petro Mohyla Black Sea National University.<\/span><\/p>

The event was held within the framework of the international Erasmus+ project 101082696 \u2014 PROMENT “Promoting professional education and active participation of students through the development of a comprehensive system of mentoring and tutoring in higher education institutions.”<\/span><\/p>

The mentor at the event was Diana Krysinska, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Ecology of Petro Mohyla National University of Chernivtsi, and an expert in ecology at the National Ecological Center of Ukraine.<\/span><\/p>

The topic of discussion was the key approaches used in Sweden, a country that is today considered one of the world leaders in environmental management. The mentees, together with their mentor, analyzed how this country’s experience can be adapted to Ukrainian realities.<\/p>

The problem of waste is not only an environmental issue, but also a social, economic and political one. Effective solutions require a comprehensive approach, partnership and readiness for change. That is why such meetings are of great importance for the formation of a new generation of specialists who are able to think ecologically and act responsibly.<\/p>

The organizers sincerely thank all participants for their activity, as well as the PROMENT project team for their support in implementing innovative educational practices in the university environment.<\/p>
