<\/p>

Lviv Polytechnic National University has officially opened the Tutoring and Mentoring Center (T&M Center) \u2013 an initiative aimed at supporting students in their academic and personal development. The concept for the Center originated as part of the PROMENT project and seamlessly aligns with the University\u2019s strategy for fostering leadership qualities among students.<\/p>

The new unit operates within the student space \u201cL.I.S.\u201d (Learning Inspiring Space), located in the shelter of the university’s first academic building. The Center\u2019s primary mission is to provide support and assistance to students, helping them enhance their academic performance, develop active citizenship, and achieve personal and professional growth in line with labor market demands and the needs of civil society.<\/p>

The opening of the T&M Center was marked by an award ceremony for the first cohort of student tutors who successfully completed the innovative course \u201cFundamentals of Mentoring and Tutoring.\u201d This course was recently added to Lviv Polytechnic\u2019s elective course catalog. Additionally, students actively participated in the \u201cFirst-Year Student Tutoring\u201d program, designed to help first-year students (tutees) integrate smoothly into university life through academic support, social integration, and personal growth. This event underscored the effectiveness of the new platform in supporting youth and fostering holistic development.<\/p>

As part of the PROMENT project, 12 mentoring and tutoring schemes have been developed, enabling students to receive personalized support, share experiences, and refine their skills under the guidance of experienced mentors and tutors:<\/p>

  1. Professional Mentorship<\/strong><\/li>
  2. Mentoring for IDPs and other relocated students<\/strong><\/li>
  3. Business and Startup Mentoring<\/strong><\/li>
  4. Green Deal Mentoring<\/strong><\/li>
  5. Local Government-led Mentoring<\/strong><\/li>
  6. Young Teacher Mentoring<\/strong><\/li>
  7. Digital Tutoring\/Mentoring<\/strong><\/li>
  8. First-Year Student Tutoring<\/strong><\/li>
  9. Gender Mentoring (Women In Science<\/strong><\/li>
  10. Internationalization Tutoring For Outgoing Students<\/strong><\/li>
  11. Mentoring For Students With Disabilities<\/strong><\/li>
  12. Buddy Tutoring<\/strong><\/li><\/ol>

    \u201cUnder the PROMENT project, a mentor is an experienced leader who provides motivation, support, and practical advice to students\u2014referred to as mentees\u2014seeking to find their path in their professional journey. These students will participate in the university program and collaborate with mentors to gain experience and achieve new milestones in their professional development. For freshmen, we offer tutoring programs. A tutor-tutee pair consists of a senior student and a first-year student.<\/p>

    The program also extends to newly arrived internally displaced students of any academic year, who have found themselves in a new environment due to circumstances. Tutors help them integrate more quickly and find their place in this new setting. A tutor is neither a teacher nor a psychologist\u2014they don\u2019t teach or do the work for others but rather recommend and share their experiences.<\/p>

    We invite everyone willing to share their expertise with students to join us. Your wisdom is invaluable to the youth! Join the mentorship program and become a guide for talented students. Share your knowledge, inspire them to reach new heights, and shape the future with us. Registration is now open!\u201d shared Natalia Bokla, head of the Center for Tutoring and Mentorship and associate professor at the Department of Automated Design Systems of the Institute of Computer Science and Information Technologies.<\/p>

    Mentors can include university staff, alumni, civil servants, professionals from non-academic fields, thought leaders, and individuals with an active civic stance who wish to share their knowledge and experience with students.<\/p>

    The establishment of the T&M Center at Lviv Polytechnic is a significant step in the University\u2019s development. This initiative not only promotes academic success among students but also cultivates a new generation of leaders ready to tackle the challenges of today\u2019s world. In the future, the T&M Center is expected to become a powerful platform for knowledge and experience exchange among students, faculty, and business representatives.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
